Ushers
Ushers are a vital part of a positive worship experience for those attending services at St. Timothy's Church. They perform several duties including preparing the church for the coming service, greeting and welcoming regulars and newcomers, seating them according to their preferences, providing for their special needs, and caring for them in the case of emergency. They also help parishioners find restrooms and childcare services and provide any general information required. During the service they take up the collection and bring the offering to the altar and control the flow of worshipers to the altar rail at communion time. After the service, they asssist in straightening up the church for the next service and return the collection to the office where they count and record the offering. Each service is distinct, and requires flexiblilty in meeting the various needs that may arise. Anyone interested in becoming an usher should contact the Church Office.
